For 652 retailers across four regions, Rite Foods product cartons delivered more than they expected. Between March and June 2026, the company’s Awoof Retail Flap Promo turned flaps collected from eligible mega cartons of participating products, including Rite Spicy Beef Sausage, into cash prizes and household appliances worth millions of naira.

At the close of the promotion, 259,306 flaps had been redeemed, earning participating retailers 652 prizes across Port Harcourt, Benin, Lagos and the South-West.

The rewards included electric kettles, blenders, microwaves, rechargeable fans, gas cookers, freezers, washing machines and 1.5HP inverter air conditioners. Six retailers also received ₦1 million each, bringing the total cash prize to ₦6 million, while 646 others received household appliances.

The idea was simple: retailers who sold eligible Rite Foods products from participating mega cartons could collect the flaps attached to those cartons and redeem them for rewards. In doing so, an everyday part of their trade became an opportunity to win something back.

Speaking on the initiative, the National Sales Manager, Bakery & Modern Trade, Rite Foods Limited, Mr. Rotimi Okunola, said the promotion was designed to reward the retailers who keep the company’s products moving from shelves into homes across the country.

“Our retailers are an important part of our journey to consumers. Every day, they put in the work to make our products available where people shop and buy. The Awoof Promo was our way of recognising that effort and giving something back to the people who help keep our brands within reach,” Okunola said.

Benin recorded the most prizes, with 251, followed by Port Harcourt with 245, the South-West with 84, and Lagos with 72. All 652 prizes have now been presented to winners across the four regions.

For Rite Foods, the Awoof Retail Flap Promo was more than a prize campaign. It was a simple way of putting value back into the hands of the retailers who keep products such as Rite Spicy Beef Sausage moving from cartons to shops, and from shops to consumers, one flap at a time.
