Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has voiced her dismay following transgender personality Bobrisky’s triumph as the ‘best-dressed woman’ at the ‘Beast of Two Worlds’ movie premiere. Amusa, visibly perturbed by the decision, took to her Instagram account to express her discontent, questioning the judgment of the event’s organizers.
In a heartfelt post shared on Monday, March 25, 2024, Amusa conveyed her disappointment, stating, “Naturally, I don’t do this but I felt the need to do this.”
“I am not happy because I went to a colleague’s premiere yesterday and then they said that the best dressed was to be picked. One female best dresser and one male best dresser. Don’t get me wrong it could be anyone yes but definitely not a cross-dresser,” she said.
Amusa emphasized her objection to Bobrisky, a cross-dresser, being awarded the title, lamenting the perceived disregard for biological women in attendance. She questioned the rationale behind the judges’ decision, asserting that it undermined the efforts of every woman who had meticulously prepared for the event.
Expressing her indignation, Amusa disclosed that she felt compelled to leave the premiere following the announcement of Bobrisky’s victory.
“If you feel like the crossdresser has merited an award, create a category for them and give them their own. Not that you would disrespect every man and woman who came to that event by giving the best-dressed female to a crossdresser. Are the judges okay?? I had to walk out of that event,” she sneered.
Bobrisky, in response to Amusa’s post stated, “I love you regardless.”
