Toyin Saraki, wife of former Senate President Dr. Bukola Saraki, on Monday, January 2, 2026, received the bearers of Royal Staffs of Office from Ijora and Olowogbowo in honour of her late father’s traditional burial rites.
In a video shared on her official Instagram page, Mrs. Saraki expressed profound gratitude as the traditional representatives paid homage during dignified Igbe panegyric eulogies held in memory of the late patriarch. The visit reflected strong cultural ties, communal solidarity, and the enduring relationship between traditional leadership and lineage heritage.
She described the gesture as deeply meaningful, noting that it symbolised continuity, shared history, and respect for cultural traditions during the family’s period of mourning. She also expressed appreciation on behalf of her family for the prayers, support, and goodwill extended to them.
Mrs. Saraki prayed that Almighty God would reward everyone who showed support and stood with the family during the mourning period.
