The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has inaugurated the AnsarCare Committee, a new national platform designed to strengthen the Society’s humanitarian, medical, and welfare interventions across the country and beyond.

The historic event took place at the Society’s National Secretariat, 19 Ajao Road, Surulere, Lagos, with the National President, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, FCIArb, presiding.
In his address, the President expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting the Society another opportunity to expand its service to humanity. He described the inauguration as “a renewed covenant with the values that define Ansar-Ud-Deen,” noting that the initiative aligns with the Qur’anic injunction that saving one life is akin to saving the whole of mankind.
He emphasized that AnsarCare is envisioned as a strategic platform to coordinate medical missions, strengthen welfare support, mobilise healthcare partnerships, and promote preventive health awareness across all State Councils. The Committee, he said, is expected to institutionalise healthcare delivery as a structured and sustainable arm of the Society.
The newly inaugurated Committee is a diverse team of seasoned professionals drawn from medicine, pharmacy, administration, education, diaspora affairs, and community development. Members include:
Dr. Sola Labinjo – Chairman
Pharm. (Dr.) Hafiz Akande
Dr. Rasheed Adekeye Odunola
Alhaja Ganiat Toluwaloju
Dr. Kamaldeen Adelowo
Dr. Abdulfatai Odemuyiwa
Dr. Tunji Akintade
Dr. Fouad Adetoro – Joint Secretary
Abdulwahab Oseni – Joint Secretary
Alhaji Lateef Aremu Oridota – National Welfare Secretary
Prince Kazeem charged the Committee to uphold sincerity, humility, measurable results, and nationwide inclusiveness. He assured them of full support from the National Executive Council, including governance oversight and resource mobilisation. He announced his personal donation of a Toyota Sienna vehicle to support the Committee’s activities, in addition to the Society’s approved ₦5 million take-off grant.
Responding on behalf of the Committee, Chairman Dr. Sola Labinjo expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in the team. He revealed that his appointment came as a surprise but accepted the role as a moral and spiritual obligation to the Society and to Allah.
He acknowledged the need for a more coordinated and structured approach to health services within the Society, noting that while various healthcare initiatives already exist across zones, they have been largely uncoordinated. The AnsarCare Committee, he explained, will create a unified framework aimed at improving accessibility, availability, and affordability of healthcare for members.
Dr. Labinjo, however, clarified that the Committee is not promising free healthcare, stressing that the provision of medical services is capital-intensive. He appealed for financial and moral support from all members and stakeholders, assuring that the Committee will deploy its collective expertise, time, and energy to fulfil its mandate.
He concluded with prayers for ease and success, reaffirming the Committee’s readiness to work diligently for the benefit of the Society and humanity.
In his closing remarks, the National President invoked the prophetic saying that “the most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others,” before officially inaugurating the Committee to the glory of Allah.
The event marks a significant milestone in the Society’s century-long legacy of service, compassion, and community development. The AnsarCare initiative is expected to evolve into one of the Society’s most impactful humanitarian programmes in Nigeria and Africa.
