Kano Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has assured All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has what it takes to fix Nigeria if elected President.
He spoke on Monday during the launch of a group, The Northern Young Professionals for Tinubu (NYPT), for the actualisation of the presidential ambition of the former Lagos Governor.
The offices were located along Murtala Muhammad Way and Yankaba in Nassarawa local government area in Kano.
Ganduje said Tinubu is the answer the myriad of problems facing the nation.
He spoke through the Managing Director of Kano Road Transport Agency (KAROTA) Alhaji Baffa Babba Dan’agundi.
The Governor recalled how Tinubu lifted the Internally Generated Revenues (IGRs) of Lagos within a short time and created employments for youths as Governor.
A close associate of Tinubu, Hamza Darma, extolled the virtues of the presidential aspirant and rated him as “the best contestant and someone who will competently navigate the ship to the Promised Land after PMB.”
NYPT National Coordinator, Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, commissioned two offices at the Avenue Event Centre, along Murtala Muhammad Way and at Yankaba in Nassarawa local government area in Kano.
Yakasai said the simultaneous official opening of NYPT offices shows the seriousness and commitment of the group in doing “what is good at the right time.”
He said: “This is a movement envisaged, not out of selfish interest, but to bring together young Professionals who have a stake to determine their future and that of the country.
So many times, professionals that are employers of Labour particularly from the North are left behind by refusing to participate in politics. Most times we do ascribe ourselves as private people working solely for the private sector.”
Yakasai stated that NYPT is an idea conceptualised by like minds to see that they partake in politics and become part and parcel in the political development of the country.
“What we found in Tinubu are qualities of a great leader because great leaders have two characteristics which are building on the capacity of their people, as well as their environment.
Tinubu is well known as a great builder all through his political life. He has impacted on the lives of so many people,” Yakasai added.
