Wike, an aspirant in the party, said success in personal businesses does not matters in governance.

He spoke in Akure while addressing leaders and delegates of the Ondo PDP on why he should be voted as candidate of the party.

Wike, who appealed to the Ondo delegates to give him 100 per cent support, said he was the only aspirant capable of defeating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said; “I want to run and win this election for PDP. We all know what it takes to win an election. I am the only aspirant who has the chances of winning the election. You require a president that will help you take back Ondo. You need a courageous, fearless, a persons who can say the truth, who can tackle insecurity.”

“Do not be deceived by those who will come to tell you they were successful in their businesses. Personal business does not matters in governance. That you succeeded as a private businessman does not mean you will not be a bad Governor.”

“I have been tested. Do not make mistake at the primary. Do not make the mistake of sharing the vote. Give me all Ondo delegates votes. I want to score 100 percent from Ondo.”
