Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, a senator from the Abia-North senatorial district, responded to purported allegations that suggested Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, could not be happy with the current All Progressives Congress, or APC.
El-Rufai has recently been observed paying polite visits to prominent national individuals, including members of opposing political groups.
During a courtesy visit to the opposition Social Democratic Party’s national secretariat, the former governor of Kaduna aroused rumors that he could leave the APC (SDP). At that time, he had a meeting with Alhaji Shehu Gabam, the party’s national chairman.
On Silverbird TV, Orji Uzor Kalu responded, saying, “Mallam El-Rufai is a member of this family, and I don’t want to discuss him. It’s not an important thing to do.”
“And I’m sure whatever he is saying about President Tinubu should not come up by this time. We should focus on governance to bring out the best of APC for the Nigerian people.”
