Lazio will be hoping to clinch a surprise knockout qualification against Bayern Munich when they visit the Allianz Arena for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. The match will be broadcast on GOtv.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Lazio manager, Maurizio Sarri has urged his team to approach the match with determination and courage. “The simplest path to qualification doesn’t exist. They have immeasurable quality and like all teams with players of great quality they have ease in finding goals. We have to suffer and die in the defensive phase, but also have the courage to score goals,” he said.
His counterpart, Thomas Tuchel, observed that securing a comeback victory over an italian opponent will be challenging, but encouraged his players to play with patience and not lose emotions in a bid to break down Lazio’s defence. “The situation is clear and that is we must win, by two goals, and against a Sarri team. It’s a big challenge,” he noted.
The two teams last met in the 2021 edition of the Champions League, Bayern triumphed on both legs, winning 1-4 away from home and 2-1 at home. However, the Germans will be without Dayot Upamecano who got a red card in the first leg.
On Wednesday, Copenhagen will face a daunting task of overturning 1-3 first leg loss when they visit the Etihad Stadium to take on Pep Guardiola’s men. Tune in SuperSport Premier League (ch 66) at 9pm to watch this game.
Kevin De Bruyne, Bernado Silva and Phil Foden were on the scoresheet for City, while Magnus Mattson pulled one back for the Danes. The incumbent Champions became the first English side to record nine consecutive victories in the tournament after their first leg win and they will be looking to extend the streak.
