Two New Originals. Twice the Drama. Dear Future Me, and Close of Business bring real life to your screen on Africa Magic Showcase.
We’ve officially crossed into the second half of the year, that “where did the time go?” season. While you’re checking in on those big goals you set at the beginning of the year, it’s also a good time to think about the little things that help you stay sane. Like your entertainment. Because let’s face it: all work and no play, you know how the saying goes.
Luckily, Africa Magic Showcase is here with two new original series that bring all the drama, heart, and unexpected twists to help you unplug, even if just for 30 minutes a night. Dear Future Me and Close of Business. One is filled with romantic awkwardness, the other with corporate chaos, but both tap into stories that feel real, relatable, and oddly comforting.
Dear Future Me
We all have an idea of what we want our future to look like: smooth, successful, soft life and all that. But as we know, life doesn’t always read the script. That’s exactly what Dear Future Me taps into. It’s a heartwarming, sometimes chaotic story about love, growth, and figuring things out, one awkward moment at a time.
This light-hearted dramedy gives you a front-row seat to blushing romance, petty fights, surprise turns, and the little everyday hiccups that make relationships beautifully complicated. It doesn’t try too hard to be deep, but somehow, it still hits home, just like real life does.
Tune in on Thursdays and Fridays by 8:30 pm on Africa Magic Showcase GOtv channel 8 to catch the drama.
Close of Business
Whether you’re team 9-5 or proudly anti-office life, Close of Business offers an inside look into the corporate grind, and it’s not all glass walls and group presentations.
The series follows Tomisin, a big dreamer with plans to change the world. But when life and love intervene, he’s forced to trade his startup dreams for a high-pressure job at Infinity Capital, a fast-paced asset management firm where power plays happen daily and loyalty is never guaranteed. Just when Tomisin begins to find his footing, his mentor pulls a shocking move, walking out with most of the company’s elite clients and leaving the firm and Tomisin in crisis mode.
Now, with his career, relationship, and sense of self on shaky ground, Tomisin must figure out what success really means and whether it’s worth the cost.
Catch Close of Business every Monday to Wednesday at 8:30 PM on Africa Magic Showcase, GOtv Channel 8.
