Zamfara State Governor, His Excellency Dauda Lawal Dare, has received the Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Sekou Chelle, at the Government House in Gusau, in a move aimed at strengthening sports development and youth engagement in the state.
According to a media post by His Excellency Governor Dauda Lawal Dare on Wednesday, 28 January 2026, the governor described the visit as a pleasure and commended Coach Chelle as a distinguished sportsperson.
He noted that the meeting provided an opportunity for meaningful interaction on how sports can be leveraged to support Zamfara State’s development agenda.
Governor Lawal disclosed that discussions focused on engaging youths in active sports participation across different categories, particularly ahead of the forthcoming inauguration of the state’s revamped stadium and sports complex.
