AbdulRauf Abdullahi Opeyemi, the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Kabiesi Elemona of Ilemona, who shared the update on 13 July 2025, a large crowd gathered in Ilemona, Oyun LGA of Kwara State, to celebrate the one-year anniversary of His Royal Majesty, Oba Nurudeen Alowonle Yusuf Ilufemiloye Oyekanmi II, on the throne.
Oba Nurudeen, who also serves as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was officially presented with the Staff of Office one year ago, and his reign has since been marked by notable achievements in peacebuilding, cultural preservation, and community development.
The event drew mammoth crowds, traditional leaders, dignitaries, and residents who came out to honor a monarch they describe as visionary, humble, and progressive.
