A delegation from Chelsea Football Club paid a courtesy visit to Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi at his palace in Lagos on Sunday.
The entourage included former Super Eagles and ex-Chelsea player Victor Moses, who played a prominent role in the visit.
The Oba received the guests and described the engagement as a positive step for football, culture, and international collaboration.
In an Instagram post, the Oba emphasised the need to strengthen ties between global football institutions and local communities in Nigeria, urging the club to partner with local teams and academies to support youth development.
Oba Elegushi wrote: “Today, I hosted a delegation from Chelsea Football Club, UK #chelseafc which also included our ex-international, Victor Moses #victormoses, accompanied by Chelsea Fans club, Nigeria.
“I am honoured by the visit and I use the opportunity to inform the Chelsea team to support our local clubs and football academies, exploring partnerships that will benefit of our teeming youths who want to play football.
“I thank them for the visit and wish them a memorable time in the centre of excellence.”
