Drives discourse for digital transformation in retail and hospitality sectors
Interswitch, one of Africa’s leading integrated payments and digital commerce companies, is set to host the Interswitch Retail Summit 2026 this April at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja, convening some of the most influential voices across Nigeria’s retail, hospitality, and Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) sectors for a forward-looking conversation on the future of commerce.
The Summit will bring together senior decision-makers, including CEOs, CTOs, and CFOs, as well as industry thought leaders and strategic partners, in what is expected to be one of the most significant gatherings of retail stakeholders this year.
With the theme, “The Modern Retail Playbook: What Works, What’s Changing, What’s Next?”, the forum comes at a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s retail sector, as businesses navigate shifting consumer behaviours, evolving economic realities, and the accelerating pace of digital transformation.
Across the country, organisations are rethinking traditional models and embracing technology to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experience, and remain competitive in an increasingly complex marketplace. Against this backdrop, the Interswitch Retail Summit will provide a platform for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among leaders shaping the future of the industry.
Speaking ahead of the event, Muyiwa Asagba, MD, Commercial Inclusion, Interswitch Group emphasised the importance of collective industry engagement in navigating this transformation. According to him,
“The retail landscape in Nigeria is evolving rapidly, shaped by digital innovation, changing consumer expectations, and the need for greater operational agility. At Interswitch, we believe the future of retail lies in the seamless integration of technology across every touchpoint, from payments to customer engagement. The Interswitch Retail Forum is designed to bring industry leaders together to share insights, challenge assumptions, and collectively define what success looks like in today’s dynamic retail environment.”
Interswitch continues to play a pivotal role in enabling seamless transactions and supporting enterprise growth across multiple sectors. The Summit reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to driving innovation within the retail ecosystem and equipping businesses with the tools and insights needed to thrive in a digital-first economy.
By bringing together stakeholders from across the value chain, the forum is expected to foster cross-sector collaboration and generate practical solutions to some of the most pressing challenges facing retailers today. Discussions will focus on how organisations can leverage technology to optimise operations, adopt secure and scalable payment solutions, and respond effectively to evolving consumer expectations.
Beyond the exchange of ideas, the forum will also provide a valuable platform for networking and relationship-building among key decision-makers. As businesses continue to navigate both local and global pressures, such connections will play an important role in driving collaboration and enabling sustainable growth across the sector. The Interswitch Retail Summit 2026 reinforces the company’s role as a convener of industry dialogue and a catalyst for innovation in Nigeria’s evolving commerce landscape.
