We’re just one week into the Big Brother Naija house, but the number of love triangles, situationships, and premium heartbreaks we’ve seen? You’d think these housemates have been locked in for the full 72 days. It’s giving an emotional rollercoaster.
Let’s break it down for you.
Isabella – Kayinkunmi – Mide
The first heartbreak of the season came barely three days in. Isabella was spotted in tears after Kayinkunmi told her that he likes both her and Mide. Plot twist? Mide isn’t checking Kayinkunmi. Sis has eyes for Bright Morgan, and the feeling is mutual.
Gigi Jasmine– Victory – Joanna
Now this triangle hit us like a truck. At first, it looked like a clear Gigi Jasmine and Victory love story… until Victory won Head of House and chose Joanna, not Gigi, to share the HOH lounge with. Next thing we know, he ends things with Gigi, leaving her in premium tears.
Kola – Doris – Dede – Jason Jae
Doris is crushing on Kola. Kola is obsessed with Dede. Jason Jae is also shooting his shot at Dede. But Dede? Sis has a boyfriend outside the house. We don’t know what this is anymore: a love square, a throuple, or an emotional rollercoaster. All we know is Kola can’t stop calling Dede’s name, and Jason is right there in the mix, too.
Imisi – Faith – Kola – Kaybobo – Koyin
This one is a full-blown web. Imisi has secret feelings for everyone: Faith, Kola, Kaybobo, and Koyin. Sis is either confused or playing a game of emotional monopoly. One minute she’s flirty with Kaybobo, next she’s vibing with Koyin, then she’s deep in gist with Kola. Even Faith isn’t off the list. Imisi said, Why choose one when you can like them all? We won’t be surprised if her next love interest is Big Brother or one of the Ninjas.
The love webs are forming fast, and if this is just in the first week, imagine what the coming weeks will look like. We need whiteboards and flowcharts to keep up at this point.
All your faves are up for nominations, except for Victory, who is the Head of House and Kayinkunmi, who was saved by HOH Victory. Head over to the DStv or Africa Magic website to vote and keep your favourites in the game, and don’t forget to catch all the drama on GOtv Channel 49 and DStv Channel 198.
