ARUWE FUMIGATES DALEKO, PARAMO MARKETS IN MUSHIN LOCAL GOVERNMENT

In a proactive move to promote environmental sanitation and safeguard public health, the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, has continued the fumigation of Daleko and Paramo motor spare parts Markets within Mushin Local Government.

The exercise form part of the administration’s continuous efforts to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe trading environment for market men, women, residents, and visitors.

The fumigation exercise is aimed at eliminating mosquitoes, flies, rodents, and other disease-causing pests that pose health risks to traders and members of the public.
Hon. Aruwe reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability and disease prevention across all communities and marketplaces in Mushin Local Government.

According to him, “The health and well-being of our residents remain a top priority. This fumigation exercise is part of our deliberate strategy to ensure our markets remain clean, safe, and conducive for business activities. We will continue to implement measures that protect public health and improve environmental standards across Mushin Local Government.”

Reacting to the exercise, the leadership of Daleko Market,Iyaloja Alhaja Chief Mrs. Mojisola and Chairman of Aguiyi Ironsi (Paramo) International Market Traders’ Association of Lagos, Mushin, Chief Chukwuma Onyebinanma(Ikukuoma) both commended the Chairman for prioritizing the welfare of traders and customers.

A market leader at Daleko Market stated, “We sincerely appreciate Hon. Aruwe for this timely intervention. The fumigation of our market will go a long way in protecting traders and customers from diseases caused by mosquitoes and other harmful pests. This demonstrates that the Chairman is attentive to the needs of the people.”

Similarly, a representative of Paramo Market lauded the initiative, describing it as a welcome development for the trading community.

According to the market leader, “This exercise is highly commendable. A clean and healthy market environment is essential for business growth and public safety. We thank the Chairman for extending this important health intervention to Paramo Market and for his continued commitment to improving conditions for traders.”

Traders across both markets also expressed satisfaction with the exercise, noting that regular fumigation and sanitation efforts would contribute significantly to maintaining a hygienic environment and preventing the outbreak of diseases.

The Mushin Local Government administration remains committed to implementing impactful environmental and public health initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life of residents, supporting commercial activities, and sustaining a cleaner and healthier Mushin Local Government for all.
