Senate President, Akpabio Reacts After He Visited Dangote Refinery







The Nigerian Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, shared his impressions after visiting the Dangote refinery in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. Owned by business tycoon Aliko Dangote, the refinery stands as a significant investment in Nigeria’s economic landscape.

During the visit, Senator Akpabio assured the refinery’s management of the 10th National Assembly’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting indigenous investors through appropriate legislation. He emphasized the positive impact of the refinery on the lives of Nigerians.

Taking to his verified Facebook page, Senator Akpabio stated, “Today, I led some Principal Officers and distinguished members of the Senate for an on-the-spot assessment of the Dangote Refinery in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State. We were highly impressed by what we saw and discussed the project’s potential to uplift Nigerian communities.”

He reiterated the National Assembly’s dedication to enacting laws that support local investors, emphasizing the importance of fostering a conducive environment for indigenous businesses to thrive.
